How to Make Brookies
- Prepare: Preheat your oven to 350ยฐF, and grease a baking pan with cooking spray.
- Make the brownie layer: In a medium-sized mixing bowl, stir together the brownie ingredients until well combined. Spread it evenly in the prepared pan.
- Make the cookie layer: In a second medium bowl, stir together the cookie ingredients just until a soft dough forms. Dollop small spoonfuls of the cookie dough evenly over the brownie batterโit will spread as it bakes.
- Bake: Place the pan in the preheated oven. Allow your brookies to bake for 33 to 38 minutes or until the brownie batter is set around the edges and a toothpick inserted 2 inches from the side of the pan comes out clean or with just a few moist crumbs.
- Cool and serve: Cool the brookies in the pan on a cooling rack for about 1 hour. Then, cut the dessert into squares, and enjoy.

Quick Tip
Let the brookies cool completely in the pan. When they are cool, they will be much easier to remove and slice.
How to Store Brookies
Store your brookies in an airtight container at room temperature for 3 to 4 days. You can refrigerate them for up to a week, but they taste better when kept at room temperature!
You can also freeze brookies in an airtight container or freezer bag for 2 to 3 months. Let them thaw at room temperature, or heat them in the microwave for a warm dessert!
