Easy Oreo Brownies Recipe

If youโre a regular reader, you know Iโm a fan of cake mix hacks, and while brownies arenโt technically a cake, I also have a lot of brownie upgrades here on All Things Mamma too, like Peanut Butter Cup Brownies. I love them all, but if youโre looking for the easiest way to upgrade a box of brownie mix, I think Oreo Brownies are the winner.
The Oreos add a nice texture to fudgy, chewy brownies-from-a-box, with some getting soft in the middle, and others on top remaining crisp. And then all that tasty Oreo filling adds a hint of vanilla flavor to the chocolate, which is so good!
I also have to mention that these brownies are the best for making brownie sundaes. Warm them up just a little bit, then top them with a scoop of vanilla or cookies-n-creme ice cream and your favorite sundae toppings. Yum!

Ingredients
See recipe card below this post for ingredient quantities and full instructions.
- Boxed fudge brownie mix โ Use whichever one you like best!
- Vegetable oil โ Canola oil will work, too.
- Water
- Eggs
- Oreo cookies โ These should be roughly chopped so they add a nice texture to the brownies. You donโt want to add crumbs here! (Use the leftovers to make Cookies and Cream Cookies!)

FAQ
How do you make easy brownies?
While homemade brownies are easy, using a boxed mix is definitely easier because measuring all the dry ingredients is done for you. This recipe for Oreo brownies is super easy because it starts with a boxed mix!
Are brownies supposed to be gooey?
Some brownie recipes are gooey, but this one is not. The center should be fudgy, but if itโs gooey, it needs more time in the oven.
Are brownies better with butter or oil?
It depends on what youโre looking for in a brownie! Butter tends to be better for cake-like brownies, while oil is better for dense, fudgy brownies.
