To make a homemade Bisquick baking mix recipe:

Ingredients

  • all-purpose flour  
  • 1baking powder
  • salt
  • butter, cold and cubed 

There are two ways that you can make this Bisquick mix:

Mixing in Bowl – How to make homemade dry Bisquick mix

  1. Whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt 
  2. Cut butter into flour mixture using a pastry blender or fork 
  3. Transfer to an airtight container and store in the refrigerator for up to 3 months

Food Processor Method

  1. Add flour, baking powder, and salt to a food processor
  2. Pulse to combine
  3. Add butter and pulse until mixture is coarse and resembles cornmeal
  4. Transfer to an airtight container and store in the refrigerator for up to 3 months

Biscuit Ingredients: makes 8  using a 2.5-inch cutter 

  • Homemade Bisquick 
  • Milk

How to make biscuits

1. Spray the baking sheet

Lightly spray cookie sheet with non-stick cooking spray

2. Preheat oven

Preheat oven to 400 degrees

3. Mix ingredients

Combine ingredients in a medium bowl until soft dough forms

4. Knead dough

Knead dough until well combined

5. Roll the dough

On a lightly floured surface, roll the dough out with a rolling pin to about ½ inch thick and cut with a round cookie cutter

6. Add to the baking sheet

Alternatively, drop by tablespoons onto a greased baking sheet

7. Bake

Bake for 7-9 minutes or until golden brown
