Homemade Bisquick Mix

This Homemade Bisquick Mix is a great way to plan ahead and make up a biscuit mixture that is simple and easy to bake later!

Ingredients

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 ½ tablespoons baking powder
  • 1 ½ teaspoons salt
  • ½ cup (1 stick) butter, cold and cubed

Biscuits

  • 1 ½ cups homemade bisquick
  • ½ cup milk

Instructions

Mixing in Bowl

  • Whisk together flour, baking powder and salt
  • Cut butter into flour mixture using a pastry blender or fork
  • Transfer to airtight container and store in refrigerator for up to 3 months

Food Processor Method

  • Add flour, baking powder and salt to food processor
  • Pulse to combine
  • Add butter and pulse until mixture is coarse and resembles cornmeal
  • Transfer to airtight container and store in refrigerator for up to 3 months

To Make Biscuits

  • Lightly spray cookie sheet with non-stick cooking spray
  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees
  • Combine ingredients in a medium bowl until soft dough forms
  • Knead dough until well combined
  • On a lightly floured surface, roll dough out with a rolling pin to about ½ inch thick and cut with a round cookie cutter
  • Alternatively, drop by tablespoons onto greased baking sheet
  • Bake for 7-9 minutes or until golden brown
