7UP Bundt Cake whole on a table with white plates and soda cans

People LOVE to bake and LOVE secrets to make their cake taste homemade while using a box cake mix. I promise that these secret tips will transform your normal box mix into something amazing!!!

I’m not sure if you’ve had a 7up Cake before, but the flavor is so good!! The 7up just adds a little zest to the flavor AND some sweetness – but not too much. It’s perfect!

I’ve thought about adding Cherry 7up in the cake, but haven’t tried it yet. I have a feeling it would take this cake to a whole new level!

Ingredients

See the recipe card below this post for ingredient quantities and full instructions.

The cake

  • Yellow Cake Mix – Duncan Hines and Betty Crocker are great choices for a quality cake mix that tastes homemade!
  • Lemon Instant Pudding Mix – Instant Pudding
  • Eggs
  • Wesson Canola Oil – I like using Wesson because it’s a classic, light oil that provides moisture and has a good taste in a cake
  • 7UP Soda

The glaze

  • powdered sugar
  • milk
  • lemon juice

White Wine Spritzer pouring into a cup

Speaking of a whole new level, since we’re talking about hanging out in the backyard with adults, a little 7up cocktail is perfect with this cake!

Cherry 7up, cherry juice and a little white wine is the perfect White Wine Spriter summertime drink! Of course, you can leave the wine out and still have a light and refreshing drink.

Either way, it’s yummy!

So delicious, easy, never dry yummy cake. i’ve used sprite, mountain dew, all different boxed cake mixes, diff sized pans, many flavored instant instant pudding jellos and it’s always a DELISH. MY question is about substituing Sugar-Free PuddingJello…any tried that? They are sold as 1oz vs 3.4oz but i don’t think it’s a 1:1 substitution…. Any help is appreciated ๐Ÿ™‚

For example if i made the SF Jello by itself It’s 1 box of SF jello + 3 Cups of milk. Whereas 1box of 3.4 oz of regular instant Jello + 4 Cups of Milk = not much more Jello. Any tried using SF Instant Pudding Versus Regular Pudding Jello and if so, how much since the amont doesnt seem to equal one to one. THANKS!~

    1. Shyanne - ATM Team says:

Hi Susie! We’re so glad you enjoy the recipe! We haven’t tried sf mix and probably wouldn’t recommend it as it tends to bake differently.
We would love to know how it turns out if you do give it a try, though!

  3. Linda says:

Would I be able to use the cooking and serve lemon Jell-O pudding versus the instant pudding in the 7-Up cake?
