Homemade Taco Seasoning

I used to buy store-bought taco seasoning packets all the time but when I realized I could make it at home easily – I was on board!

I could drag on this post forever talking about just how easy and delicious this taco seasoning really is – but I’ll get right to it since there’s really not a ton to say.

It’s for tacos. It’s for burritos. It’s for fajitas. Doritos Taco Salad AND more! La, la, la! (that was me singing a little jingle!)

How To Make Homemade Taco Seasoning

Well, I’m glad you asked. It’s so easy! Just open up your spice cabinet to make this great recipe!

That’s it! Just add 1 tablespoon of EACH into a little  bowl and give it a stir and you have the easiest, no additives or preservative-filled seasoning for your tacos!

I usually buy my spices in bigger containers and then whip this up as needed. You could double, triple or quadruple this recipe and keep it in a sealed glass container so you don’t have to make it each time.

But really, it’s not that hard to dump it all in a bowl when you’re ready for some delicious tacos or Crock Pot Chicken Tacos! Oh, and don’t forget the Taco Ring. YUM!

If I can save a little money and add a lot of flavor to my meals, I’m all about it!

The good thing about this recipe is that you can personalize it for your family.

If you like things a tad spicy, keep it as is. If you like them a little mild, dial down the chili powder and pepper.

It’s still going to be good!

Oooo! Isn’t it pretty? I think so!

If you add this seasoning to beef for tacos, I always add a little water to help mix it in – just like you would a seasoning packet from the store.

Start with 1/4 cup of water and add more to get the right consistency.

There you have it! Homemade Taco Seasoning Mix from scratch – Taco Tuesdays just got a whole lot easier!
