Marshmallow buttercream frosting – You can always add a different type of frosting to this easy s’mores cupcake recipe. I think that a marshmallow cream filling in the center of the cupcakes would be so good, too!
Add mini marshmallows – Add marshmallows and topping with milk chocolate ganache sounds like a pretty sweet treat!
Crushed graham crackers – Why not make these graham cracker cupcakes really over the top? On the tops of the cupcakes, sprinkle on some crushed graham crackers!
Cocoa powder – Sprinkle the top of each cupcake with a tad bit of cocoa powder. That dark chocolate flavor is so good!
S’Mores Cupcake Recipe FAQS
What is the cooking time for cupcakes?
This all just depends on the type of cupcakes you’re making. This recipe calls for a baking time of 12-14 minutes, but you’ll also want to be certain that they’re done before pulling them from the oven.
How can you tell when cupcakes are done baking?
The toothpick test is your answer! Just take a clean toothpick, insert it into the middle of a cupcake, and if it comes out clean, the cupcakes are done and ready to be pulled. If it comes out with batter on it still, you need to give your cupcakes a few more minutes in the oven.
Can you use regular marshmallows for the topping instead of marshmallow creme?
You can! Just be certain that you choose before buying your ingredients so that you have everything that you need on hand.

Let me clarify my question about the proportions. I am making the cupckaes now and have nearly 3 times the amount of graham crackers needed for 1 tbsp in 12 muffin cups, hence the question about how many cupcakes this recipe is intended to make. Thank you!
How many cupcakes does this make? The proportions seems way off for a standard pan of 12. Thank you!
