No-Bake Oreo Dessert
If your family is anything like my family…they LOVE Oreos. That’s why when I tried this scrumptious No Bake Oreo Dessert Recipe that our Pastor’s wife made at church, I KNEW I had to have the recipe to share with you all!
It’s rich and full of flavor, yet light and creamy. A favorite with everyone who’s tried it, you can’t miss on this Oreo Dessert for your next potluck or family dinner!

Ingredients
See the recipe card below this post for ingredient quantities and full instructions.
- Oreos
- Butter
- Cream cheese – softened.
- Instant vanilla instant pudding – do not make the pudding AND use the milk below. Only add the 3 cups in these directions.
- Cool Whip
- Milk – Some people have had trouble with this setting up – I have not. I’ve used skim, 2% and whole milk. I believe that WHOLE MILK is best.
- Sugar
How-To Make Oreo Dessert:
1. Crush Oreos: In a 9×13 pan crush the Oreos, saving a few for topping later. Pour melted butter over crushed Oreos.
2. Mix: In a large bowl, mix together with a mixer – instant pudding & milk until thickened. Then add the cream cheese and sugar – mix well.
3. Add Cool Whip: Fold Cool Whip into the pudding mixture and spread over Oreos.
4. Add Topping And Chill: Sprinkle remaining crushed Oreos on top. Chill for 2-3 hours before serving.

Tips for Success
- I made this batch with Double Stuffed Oreos, but you could really use any flavor of Oreo you’d like, along with changing up the pudding used, as well! Next time, I’m going with Mint Oreos!
- Do NOT follow the directions on the box of pudding and add in the milk from the box. Only add in the milk from the recipe below.
- Be sure to chill for several hours before eating. While it’s delicious as soon as it’s made, it’s even better when it has time to sit.

Love this! I still have remaining cream cheese in the fridge. I’ll put it to good use with this recipe. Yum!
Wow, this one looks amazing. I think I can use this whenever I don’t feel like baking or probably when in rush. No question, this will be delicious.
This seems to be pretty and easy to make and I think everyone is going to love this. I can eat anything that has Oreo in it. Certainly a must try.
No bake recipes are some of my favorite. This time of the year I hate turning my oven on, and a recipe like this is a solution.

This recipe looks so yummy! I can’t wait to make it for my family gathering.
Who doesn’t LOVE Oreos and this sounds absolutely incredible! I love the fact it is no bake as well – that can make things so much easier.
Perfect for a summer treat after a full day at the beach! My kiddos would eat this all in one sitting!
Oh my gosh, we love Oreos, so I’ll be making this over the summer for sure. This would be such a perfect dessert.
I love no bake recipes. Those are the best types of recipes for sure. My whole family loves OREO cookies so this would be a hit for sure.
OMG! I almost licked the screen so I pinned it instead. I love Oreo’s and anything made with them. I have to give this a try.
ahh this is amazing as im a huge huge oreo fan and anything that’s easy to put together is my jam ha esp if it requires NOT baking!
That oreo cheesecake looks amazing and who would not love a dessert of Oreos. I have to keep this handy for my next party.
You had me at OREO! I love any dessert that features Oreos and I love that this one is so simple to make.
I have tried this recipe twice and I can’t get it to thicken up when I am mixing it I was really hoping it would work the second time I’m trying to make it for a party I am going to.. the second time I tried it I tried the two packages of pudding and 1cup of milk and still didn’t work.. I was going to try just adding the milk gradually.. I am issuing 2% milk.. it is still delicious it’s just more watery and juicy…
Waiting for it to set now. I think a lot of the confusion comes from the fact that the word “mix” isn’t included in the directions. If the direction said “stir pudding MIX and milk…” that would cut down on mistakes
So, I just made this and had to leave a comment. I have no idea what the issue is with setting so many people are talking about. I reduced the milk to 2.5 cups at first, to be safe with the comments….I ended up adding the additional half cup (used total of 3, like the recipe) and it was great. Tasted some filling that was left on the spatula and can already tell that it’s going to be phenomenal. I used 2% milk and that was fine, too. 🙂
GREAT!!! So happy to hear that!
I followed the directions exactly and it came out perfectly. No problem with it setting up. And I’m not even a great cook! Definitely not the recipe’s fault if it didn’t work for you.
GREAT!! Thanks for sharing!!
Had no problem at all with the recipe. I made it for a party and EVERYONE lOVED it!
Would you recommend using buttermilk instead of whole milk in the no bake oreo dessert ?
No, I think whole milk is best.
