Tips + Tricks

  • Feel free to use any type of cooked chicken for this casserole. Leftover air fryer chicken breasts or rotisserie chicken are great options.
  • Short pasta catches all the cheesy alfredo sauce. I’ve used penne pasta, but you could also use rigatoni, fusilli or farfalle pasta.
  • The alfredo sauce can be made up to 2 days in advance and stored in the fridge, ready to be used and a helpful way to reduce the overall recipe time. If you’re really rushed for time, use a high quality store-bought alfredo sauce instead.

Thaw frozen chicken alfredo bake casserole in the fridge overnight and reheat it in the oven at 350 degrees F for 30-45 minutes. It’s best to cover the casserole with foil to prevent the cheesy topping from burning and the pasta from drying out. Smaller portions can be reheated in the microwave.
