- 12 ounces penne pasta cooked al dente
- 3 cooked chicken breasts diced
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 1 teaspoon powdered garlic
- 2 cups whole milk
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup parmesan cheese
- 2 cups mozzarella cheese
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ยฝ teaspoon pepper
Instructions
- Gather your ingredients. Spray a 9ร13-inch baking dish with cooking spray and preheat your oven to 375 degrees F.
- In a large pan, melt the butter over medium heat and whisk in the flour for 1 minute. Whisk in the milk and cream and bring to a simmer. Continue to cook until the mixture thickens.
- Next, stir in the parmesan cheese, 1 cup shredded mozzarella, garlic powder, and salt and pepper. Continue to stir until the cheese is melted.
- Add the pasta and chicken to the pan and stir well. Pour the pasta mixture into the pan, and top with the remaining mozzarella cheese.
- Bake, uncovered, for 25 minutes or until pasta is bubbly and cheese has just started to brown.
- Allow to sit for 5 minutes and serve.
