    1. Shyanne - ATM Team says:

We’re sorry to hear this, Margo! Do you know what brand of spice cake mix you used?

I made this because I had the ingredients & the picture looked like a great dessert, however this was extremely sweet. You can’t eat it without ice cream, etc. because of the sweetness. I need to find a way to adjust this so I can salvage it— maybe make an oatmeal unsweetened crumble to it????

  3. Jennifer Mason says:

I love dump cakes, but my problem is, on mine there are wet spots on top of the cake and it’s very unappetizing. Where as yours appears crunchy on top. How do you achieve a crunchy top. Otherwise, I’d make them more often.

  4. This looks just delicious but how on earth does this have just 3 ingredients? Since when was a box of cake mix classed as an ingredient! Would it be possible to bake this with a normal cake recipe but minus the eggs?

  5. 3 stars

I see some kind of nuts on top ? Pecans or are they walnuts?

      1. Shyanne - ATM Team says:

We love to add a sprinkle of pecans!

    2. Kalena Johnson says:

Where did the pumpkin come from in the instructions? Thought this was an apple dump cake. *confused*

  9. Linda Pine says:

As I was reading your recipe, I noticed that you put pumpkin mix instead of spice cake mix. You might want to change that if it is wrong. Thank you, Linda.
