Eggs are easy to whip up on the stove top, so why would you want to make eggs in an air fryer?

Well, I don’t know about you, but sometimes when I’m making a big weekend breakfast for the family with a skillet of sizzling bacon and a griddle full of fluffy buttermilk pancakes, I don’t have room, time, or attention to make eggs too! And that, my friends, is why cooking eggs in the air fryer is genius.

It also makes perfect eggs! This is going to be your new favorite way to make eggs, I promise.

I’m sharing not just one, not even two, but three easy ways to make air fryer eggs, including hard boiled eggs, soft boiled eggs, and fried eggs. Each cooking method is simple, requires no additional oil or butter, and results in delicious, perfectly cooked eggs to add some extra protein to your day.

Easy Air Fryer Eggs

So let’s talk about these recipes for eggs in the air fryer. First, we’ve got your classic hard boiled egg for making into egg salad or for keeping on hand in the fridge for meal prep. You won’t believe how easy they are to make in the air fryer!

Then, there’s soft boiled eggs, which have jammy yolks that make them an excellent addition to big bowls of ramen, rice, or serving with toast. These are cooked the same way hard boiled eggs are, but they spend a little less time in the air fryer.

Finally, we have the breakfast classic—fried eggs. You’ll need to have an air fryer big enough to accommodate a small pan for this recipe. My family loves fried eggs in breakfast sandwiches or served on a plate of crispy hash browns. (Runny egg yolks are the best pairing with hash browns!)

How to Make Air Fryer Eggs

Hard Boiled Eggs

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 275ºF for 5 minutes.
  2. Place 4 eggs in the air fryer basket, then cook them for 13 to 15 minutes.
  3. While the eggs cook, prepare a bowl of ice water. Once the eggs are done cooking, immediately submerge them into the cold water. Let them cool completely, then peel.

Soft Boiled Eggs

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 275ºF for 5 minutes.
  2. Set 4 eggs in the air fryer basket. Cook them for 10 to 11 minutes.
  3. While the eggs cook, fill a bowl with ice water. When the eggs are done in the air fryer, transfer them to the ice water bath to cool. Cool completely before peeling.

Fried Eggs

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 350ºF for 5 minutes.
  2. Generously coat a baking pan that fits into your air fryer basket with nonstick cooking spray.
  3. Crack two eggs into the bottom of the pan, keeping them as far apart as possible. Season with salt and pepper.
  4. Air fry for 3 to 4 minutes, or until the yolks reach your desired consistency.

How to Store Leftovers

Store hard boiled eggs in the shells; they’ll keep in the refrigerator for up to a week.

Soft boiled eggs should also be stored unpeeled; you can refrigerate them for up to 2 days.

Fried eggs can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat them on the stovetop or in the microwave until they reach 165ºF.

Serving Suggestions

Eggs go well with breakfast favorites like Bisquick Waffles, Banana Pancakes, and Brioche French Toast Casserole. In addition to egg salad, hard boiled eggs can be used to make deviled eggs.
