Cooking hot dogs in a slow cooker is literally a game-changer. While I know that hot dogs are a fairly simple recipe, I always tend to misjudge the amount of time needed for them when I’m already feeling rushed.

And since this recipe is one that my family loves, I know it’s going to be a winner every time as well. Make certain to check out our Bourbon Pretzels  and our everyone’s favorite Buffalo Chicken Dip, as well. They’re both a fun addition to this meal!

Tips for Making Crock Pot Hot Dogs

How long can you keep hot dogs warm in a crockpot?

As long as you have the setting on “keep warm”, they should be fine for a few hours of time. If you’re worried about it, just keep it set on low and make certain that there’s enough water so that they don’t burn.

Are hot dogs already cooked?

This depends on the type of hot dogs. Beef hot dogs are not and will need to be cooked. Some will say that they are pre-cooked but you still need to cook them up so that they’re ready to serve.

Wondering what to serve with hot dogs?

The options are endless. I have so many side dish ideas here on All Things Mamma that are perfect to bring to parties and picnics, and they go perfect as a side to hot dogs.

You can also serve with corn chips of your favorite brand of chips as well! When you’re feeding a lot of people, it’s a good idea to have options!

Have fun making this for summer parties or the perfect game day party! It doesn’t get much better than this delicious recipe – and everyone is going to agree! It’s a great dish that really does make the best hot dogs!
