Pancake cereal is just a delicious as regular pancakes but so much more fun to eat. Follow these tips and trips to make pancake cereal at home. This really is a fun recipe to make. Pancake Cereal Tips:

  • Use a thinner pancake batter. Skip the buttermilk pancake recipe and use a basic batter. This will allow the batter to cook quicker. Since you’re making just little dollops of batter, thinner pancakes on a hot griddle are better.
  • Put the batter in a ziplock bag or similar type plastic bag with a corner snipped off to create a makeshift piping bag. You have to move quickly when cooking, and this will allow you to quickly put the batter on the pan. You can also use a squeeze bottle.
  • Small pancakes can be a pain to flip, so make sure you use a nonstick pan and a chopstick to flip them once they are golden brown.
  • Keep the pan on medium-low. The thinner batter and small size will cause the batter to cook fast. Donโ€™t let the pan get too hot. You don’t want to burn your mini pancakes cereal, do you? You should also use a nonstick skillet so that your bunch of mini pancakes doesn’t stick.

How do you store leftover homemade pancakes?

You need to be certain to store your favorite breakfast food in an airtight container. That way you can reuse them for brunch recipes or top them with a scoop of ice cream for dessert. Cereal pancakes are great for breakfast but this easy recipe is also great for dessert!

What toppings can you add to this cereal recipe?

If you want to eat these pancakes without milk, top them with peanut butter, chocolate sauce, or any of your other favorite toppings. Mini marshmallows in the middle of each mini pancake are so much fun!
