With the holidays coming up, it’s ย time to pull out your favorite recipes – new and old! I have several that I love and can’t wait to make each year like these Gobstroppers and Christmas Casserole. But I also like to re-create recipes into something different that’s new and exciting! This year I decided to put a twist on the traditional Cranberry Salad and made a Cranberry Cream Cheese Dessert!
This Cranberry Cream Cheese Dessert is easy to make and quite affordable. Especially when you use store brand items like these from Schnucks!
I was able to save money by purchasing Schnuck’s brand items for almost the entire recipe! That’s a very good thing no matter the time of year, but especially at the holidays when money can get a little out of control if you’re not careful.
To make this delicious dessert, you layer a crust that’s made with pretzels and butter and then bake until brown for about 10 minutes.
Next you make the cream cheese layer that includes cream cheese, sugar and whipped topping. YUM! Mix that all together and layer over the crust before placing in the fridge to set.
Then, you make a jello topping with cranberries and raspberries and place over the entire cream cheese mixture. Chill and you’re done!
Simple! There are a few steps involved but nothing you can’t do easily!
With the holiday season in full swing, ย and the hustle and bustle of family parties, holiday gatherings, and preparation will be in full swing. It’s a great time to really slow down and spend some time nourishing life. No matter how busy you are, it’s important to really just push the pause button when things get crazy and take some time to relax and regroup. My way to unwind is by making a meal or dessert for my family and those around me that I want to share the love with. Food is my love language. It’s like giving a bit of my heart and a hug each time I prepare a special dish for someone. This week, Schnucks was able to help me do that by having everything I need in one place at a price that was within my budget to make this Cranberry Cream Cheese Dessert ย That helps me to not worry about if I want to prepare a dish whenย I know that I can save a little money by buying Schnucks brand.
Schnucks has everything you need for the season, saving you time and money in the process.
Here’s a little tip! A kitchen hack that will help you get through the holidays with less stressย is to double your recipe. Each time you make a casserole, dessert or even a side dish, double your recipe and freeze the 2nd dish. Then, when you’re crazy busy, you can pull out your frozen meal or dessert and have a home cooked meal in no time! You can even share that meal with someone who may need a little help! Maybe share it with your elderly neighbor or a mom with a house full of sick kids. It’s a great way to nourish your soul and someone else’s!
So, make a little time for yourself and nourish your soul and someone else’s this holiday season and whip up this easy Cranberry Cream Cheese Dessert! Here’s a fun little Instagram Video I made for this recipe!

There’s a typo on your receipe. In the picture you have two 8 oz packs of cream cheese but your receipe calls for 2 12 oz packs. (It’s 16 ounces needed, right? Not 24?) I was out shopping for ingredients when I saw this. My friend made it and it was amazing! I could use clarification tho, so I don’t mess it up. Thank you!!!
Yes, that is correct. Thanks for catching that! However, a little extra cream cheese is ok. ๐
Can dried cranberries be used?
