This recipe is super easy to follow and will result in some of the most delicious brownies you’ve ever had. There’s no measuring flour, baking powder, or sugar, because you use boxed brownie mix to make them!

If you’re a regular reader, you know I’m a fan of cake mix hacks, and while brownies aren’t technically a cake, I also have a lot of brownie upgrades here on All Things Mamma too, like Peanut Butter Cup Brownies. I love them all, but if you’re looking for the easiest way to upgrade a box of brownie mix, I think Oreo Brownies are the winner.

  • Starts with boxed mix: No complicated steps.
  • Fudgy and chewy: Exactly how brownies should be.
  • Crunchy Oreo texture: Some cookies stay crisp on top, others soften inside.
  • Perfect for brownie sundaes: Just add ice cream.
  • Kid-approved dessert: Always a hit at parties and bake sales.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do you make easy Oreo brownies?

While homemade brownies are easy, using a boxed mix for these Oreo brownies is definitely easier because measuring all the dry ingredients is done for you.

Are Oreo brownies supposed to be gooey?

Some brownie recipes are gooey, but this one is not. The center should be fudgy, but if it’s gooey, it needs more time in the oven.

Are Oreo brownies better with butter or oil?

It depends on what you’re looking for in a brownie! Butter tends to be better for cake-like brownies, while oil is better for dense, fudgy brownies.

Can I use different Oreo flavors?

Yes! Golden Oreos, mint, or peanut butter Oreos all work great in this recipe.
