I have to be honest with you, I am not much of a baker. My kids got those skills though and can bake pretty much everything, I’m a “from the box” type of gal in most cases. So this TikTok hack for using boxed cake mix to make cupcakes was quite a find for me!
I pretty much always have a boxed cake mix on hand, they usually only cost about a $1, and can come in super handy! I usually keep Chocolate for those cravings that seem to appear out of nowhere, when you have a house with so many females it is important to be prepared!
In this TikTok hack, Karly Stoddard shows you how to take a box of cake mix and turn it into wonderfully delicious cupcakes. There only a few tweaks to make it happen! She happens to have her own baking business, so she knows what she is doing.
All that you have to do is swap out the called for ingredients of water and oil and change them to milk and butter. Also, we will increase the eggs called for. That’s it! Easy peasy! Karly says this will give you that bakery-style cupcake!
Boxed Cake Mix Upgrade To Bakery Style Cupcakes!
So it’s really this simple! Remember, we are just swapping water to milk, oil to butter, and increasing the eggs!
Ingredients
- Box of cake mix
- 1 cup of milk
- 5 eggs
- ⅔ cup butter, melted
- Frosting (maybe sprinkles too!?)
Follow the instructions for mixing and baking that are on the box. Once they are finished baking, try to calm yourself and let them cool down! When they have cooled down, then you can get to decorating these babies up!
