Ingredients You Need

See recipe card below this post for ingredient quantities and full instructions.
- Rolls – These tasty ham sliders just wouldn’t be the same without mini sweet bread sandwich rolls! My brand of choice is King’s Hawaiian bread, but you can use any sweet bread you like.
- Ham – For the best results, I recommend using thinly sliced deli ham. Feel free to change things up, or add some variety by including other deli meats, like turkey or roast beef. You could also use honey ham for a little sweeter flavor.
- Swiss – Sliced baby Swiss cheese is perfect for this recipe! I prefer to keep the slices super thin, similar to the ham, so that the mini-sandwiches don’t end up over-stuffed. You can also substitute with provolone cheese.
- Condiments and seasonings – I used Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, and melted butter for the mixture that is spread on top of the sliders before baking. I also like to add poppy seeds on top! You can also add a little bit of mayonnaise to the ham and Swiss sliders before baking.
Variations
- Switch up the condiments, and choose your favorite spread to go on the sliders.
- Go for more layers on the sliders, and add pickles to the mix.
- If you want to give your tastebuds a spicy treat, add hot sauce to the mayo for a bit of heat.
How to Make Ham and Swiss Sliders

- Start building your sandwich: Separate the tops from the bottoms of the rolls, and place the bottom pieces into the baking dish. Place half the cheese on top.

- Add the ham: Make sure it’s distributed evenly!

- Finish assembling: Place the remaining Swiss cheese over the ham. Spread the underside of the top of the buns with mayonnaise. Then, place the tops of the rolls onto the ham and Swiss sandwiches.

- Bake: Lightly brush the top and sides of the rolls with the butter mixture with a pastry brush. Then, pour the remaining butter sauce into the bottom of the dish. Bake at 350ºF until the rolls are lightly browned and the cheese has melted.

Serving Suggestions
If you’re wondering what to serve with ham and Swiss sliders, here are some easy ideas:

- Air fryer French fries or sweet potato fries
- Creamy potato salad or deviled egg pasta salad
- Bacon mac and cheese
- Steamed broccoli or roasted asparagus
- A simple green salad

Storage Instructions
These sliders are best served fresh, but leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
To reheat, cover with foil and warm in a 350°F oven until heated through.
Freezing is not recommended, as the mayo and rolls can become soggy.

The perfect easy dinner. Quick and flavorful!
Misleading. I specified that I wanted a no-cook and / or no-bake sandwich. After I had finally thought that I had found a decent sandwich I made the shocking discovery that you have to BAKE IT. To say the least I was disappointed-my Spring Tea will be on April 20 and even the stores do not have the kind of sandwiches that I want.
It’s a hard life
delicious! There’s many recipes out there for these sliders that add more ingredients that seem unnecessary to me (like brown sugar). This one is a classic – simple and tastes great. Thank you!
