We have food! Well, not quite yet. But, we will! Look at these plants!

Raised Vegetable Beds

Our raised garden beds have taken off. We planted plants AND seeds and they’re all growing like weeds – only there are no weeds. Just plants. I am so excited to see all these plants start to grow and I can’t wait to enjoy cucumbers, squash and tomatoes right off the vine. I have a feeling I’m going to have a lot ot share, too!

Your garden looks so good! They really are thriving. I can’t wait to see what all you get by the end of summer.

We’re prepping for a fall raised bed right now (we have 2 growing seasons here in TX) and I was reading that putting mulch/wood chips (from local healthy trees, not the stuff you buy in bags) on top really helps keep the moisture in and enrich your soil, as well as keeping any weeds from sprouting up.

That’s a really good idea! So far – no weeds. BUT, I bet after this year that will be an issue. I will definitely look into finding some next year! Thanks, Tamara!
