Kids love slime! Why not make your own at home for a little at home fun mixed with science?! This easy How To Make Glitter Slime tutorial will quickly become a favorite activity in your house!
Making Glitter Slime is easy and very affordable and only has three ingredients – Borax, found in the laundry aisle, glitter glue and water. Yep! That’s it!
Making it is a breeze, too! Here’s How to Make Glitter Slime at home with your kids – the easy way!
How To Make Glitter Slime
Step 1 – Take 1 teaspoon of Borax and combine with 1 cup of warm water. Stir well to dissolve the Borax.
Step 2 – Using a helper (like your cute kiddos that can’t wait to get their hands on this mess!) add the glitter glue to a medium size bowl.
Step 3 – Add the Borax water mixture to the glue mixture and stir well with a spoon.
Step 4 – Allow your adorable helper to reach in with their hands and really mix it up well!
Note: all of the water won’t be absorbed by the glue. Just mix the glue until it forms a ball and holds it’s shape. Keep the Borax water mixture on hand to add more to the Glitter Slime if it gets too slimy.

Step 5 – ENJOY!
See how easy that was?! Glitter Slime is very easy to make and provides a ton of entertainment! PLUS – this is a GREAT opportunity to teach your kids a really fun science lesson that doesn’t seem like a lesson at all! Here’s how to explain the science behind Glitter Slime to the kids!
DID YOU KNOW??
The most popular extracurricular science activities parents provide for their kids include taking them to the museum (61%), encouraging them to read science books (54%) and watching science-oriented TV shows (53%). However, far fewer parents (39%) demonstrate the science behind everyday activities. This DIY Slime Recipe is great activity to do at home that is easy and cheap AND teaches science in the process!
If you want to really spice up your Glitter Slime, add a little essential oils to your mixture for a whole sensory experience! My kids love it this way!
You can find the whole recipe we like to use in my book, Essential Oils for a Clean and Healthy Home!
