Why you’ll love this slow cooker ravioli lasagna recipe!

This crockpot ravioli lasagna recipe takes everything you love about traditional lasagna and simplifies it into a one-pot meal. Instead of layering noodles, ricotta, and sauce, you’ll use frozen cheese ravioli to create those same rich layers—without the extra work.
The result is a cheesy, saucy, perfectly cooked pasta dish that feels like it simmered all day (even though it didn’t require much effort at all).
- It’s the ultimate lazy crockpot lasagna: There’s no need to boil noodles, make ricotta filling, or spend time carefully layering. The ravioli does all the work for you, acting as both the pasta and the filling in one step.
- Perfect for busy weeknights: You can throw everything together in the morning or early afternoon, turn on your slow cooker, and come back to a warm, comforting dinner that’s ready to serve.
- Family-friendly and picky-eater approved: With cheesy layers, rich sauce, and tender pasta, this dish is one that both kids and adults get excited about. It’s classic comfort food without any fuss.
- Endless ways to customize: Switch up the meat, try different ravioli flavors, or use your favorite pasta sauce. This slow cooker ravioli lasagna is easy to make your own.

Ingredient Notes

You only need a few simple ingredients to make this lazy crockpot lasagna.
- Ground beef – You can lower the fat content by using lean ground beef or even ground turkey.
- Pasta sauce – Choose your favorite jar of pasta sauce and add.
- Mozzarella cheese – More cheese is never a bad thing!
- Frozen cheese ravioli – Using frozen ravioli makes this simple crockpot lasagna recipe a breeze!
Variations
- Change up your pasta sauce flavors. Your local grocery store will sell everything from marinara to tomato basil or four kinds of cheese. Changing the flavors in the sauce will add variety, for sure.
- Use different ravioli. Maybe you have a vegetarian in your family or maybe you just want to add a little more nutrition to your meals. Try portabella and goat cheese ravioli, spinach, and ricotta ravioli, or butternut squash ravioli then omit the meat, if needed.
- Use different meat. Instead of beef, try Italian sausage! You can use mild or hot, depending on your preferences.
How to Make Ravioli Lasagna in the Crockpot

- Cook the Meat: In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until no longer pink. Drain any excess grease, then stir in the pasta sauce—reserving about 1 cup for layering.

- Start the Layers: Spread the reserved cup of pasta sauce on the bottom of the slow cooker. This helps prevent the ravioli from sticking and ensures a saucy base.

- Build the Lasagna: Layer half of the frozen ravioli over the sauce. Then add a portion of the meat sauce and sprinkle with mozzarella cheese. Repeat the layers, finishing with a generous layer of cheese on top.

- Cook: Cover and cook on low for 3–4 hours, or until the ravioli is tender and the cheese is melted and bubbly.

Thx
Great weekday dinner and budget friendly!
Trying it today ! I love easy peasy
We hope you enjoy, Jill!
Can I use refrigerated ravioli? I didn’t notice it said frozen until I bought the other kind.
It should work! Just keep a close eye on it and adjust the cooking time as needed.
Loved the original! Decided to try to make White Lasagna. Ground chicken instead of beef. Alfredo sauce and a can of drained and chopped artichoke hearts mixed together. Spinach and cheese stuffed ravioli. All else same as original recipe. Tasted delicious!
I’m about to find out how it freezes, we are making a double batch so we can have an even faster dinner on another night (or two)
How long does it take for double batches? I am feeding 7 people and want to make sure we have plenty.
Hi Erin! We recommend checking for doneness after 3-4 hours and every 5 minutes or so after that when doubling the recipe.
What’s the amount of sauce and cheese? If I use 1/2 the ravioli and then only 1/4 of sauce and cheese…I’m confused
really great and easy
Can I use meat filled ravioli instead of cheeses filled?
Absolutely, you can omit the ground beef and add 1 cup of sauce, or retain the meat for a hearty beefy meal.
How many adults does this serve?
Can you use shelf stable ravioli?
Can the leftovers be frozen?
sure
I got everything I need to make this recipe in the next week sometime! What size are the two pasta sauce jars you are using? 🙂
Delish!!
Making it for the second time tonight. We winter down in southern Texas in our coach, so this dish is easy, filling and tastes so good. We always get at least two dinners from it. First time making it I added my own little touch by adding small dollops of cottage cheese on top of meat sauce, it turned out great! I will continue to make this!
II usually bake this but I thought I would try it in the crockpot, it’s been cooking for a couple hours and it smells really good, can’t wait for it to be done my Grandson’s going to love it 😋😋😋😋
This was a huge win tonight. Even my picky eater went back for seconds. It is a keeper!
That’s always a good sign lol. So happy to hear you all enjoyed it!
