When the kids get home from school they are always so hungry! They love it when I have something ready to goย as soon as they walk in the door. I don’t always have something fancy – sometimes it’s granola bars or veggies and dip. But, on the first day of school, I wanted to have something a little special for them to have as a treat. So, I scanned my pantry for something I could make quickly and easily without going to the store and these Mason Jar Pudding Snack Cups wereย perfect!
It took me 10 minutes from start to finish for these little guys! First I whipped up a box of instant banana pudding that took only a couple of minutes for it to be soft set. Good enough to put together in the jars! First I added a spoonful of pudding to the bottom of the mason jars, added a sprinkle of graham cracker crumbs and cut up bananas, repeated the pudding again and topped with bananas and vanilla cupcake flavored gold fish. Simple and fun!
Of course I couldn’t leave the daycare kids out and I whipped up some little half full jars for them to have with the big kids! FUN!
You could get creative and use different pudding, like chocolate and use crushed up Oreos and chocolate goldfish. Mmmmm! I may have to make that one next! The point is that it doesn’t have to be fancy and expensive for a yummy after-school snack! Scan your pantry and see what you have on hand and whip something up for your kiddos. They’ll be so excited Mom took the time to make something special for them to enjoy!
