You know that your husband knows you well when he buys you THIS for an anniversary present:
It’s The Pioneer Woman Cooks Cookbook!
OH, I think I am more in love with him than I thought was possible! He knows me so well. I have been wanting this cookbook since it came out, but I never seem to pick it up for myself. You know, with all the mommy guilt of actually spending money on myself that isn’t actually needed. But, after looking through this book…I should have decided that it was NEEDED long ago!
There are so many yummy, not good for your figure, recipes in here, that I’m going to have a very hard time not making them all immediately. Down-home, country cooking that includes Fried Chicken, Cinnamon Rolls and Creamy Mashed Potatoes PLUS BBQ Jalapeno Poppers, Sour Cream Pancakes and Burgundy Mushrooms –ย my kind of recipes!
But, the one that I think will make it to my table first….
Mocha Brownies! Mmmmm….these look heavenly and oh-so-sinful!
You will be the FIRST to know just how these turn out!
Speaking of Weddings…have you seen the amazing wedding video where the couple made a video to The Black Eyed Peas “The Time”? It is so perfectly done and looks like it was a blast to make!! Check it out!

I’m so happy you enjoyed your gift. Thank you for being such a wonderful wife, you deserve much more than simply a cookbook. I love you and happy anniversary babe!
I was blessed enough to win one in a blog giveaway :). I have tried several of the recipes. The meatloaf recipe did not go over well at all, however, the “tomato gravy” topping for it did. So, I went back to my old recipe and use the topping recipe on it. ๐ Haven’t made the brownies yet but since you pointed them out I might just have to ad that to my to-do list of the day. Enjoy.
Oh, you are married to a smart man! How great – he knew just what to get! awesome- have a great weekend & happy anniversary!
yea…. slightly jealous! I want this cookbook, bad!
And those brownies? Look amazing!!!
Becca, you should go get it! Totally worth it!
I adore The Pioneer Woman! Her latest book is really good, too! Not a cookbook, but still a great read!
She is the best! I am looking forward to checking out her new book, as well. Maybe next anniversary! LOL!
