One of the greatest pleasures in life, is seeing your kids truly happy. Seeing their little faces light up with big smiles and to hear the giggles and laughs as they experience something you as a parent, helped them to receive. And, this past week on our vacation to Beachwalk, was a week full of firsts for our family. My kids experienced running over a sand dune to see a beautiful sandy beach with rolling waves for the first time. They experienced sightseeing and being a family…on vacation for the first time.
You just never know how your children are going to react to leaving home and traveling in the car for hours, sleeping in a new bed and just being away from the familiarity of home. But, our two did amazingly well! They really embraced the concept of “vacation” and didn’t want to leave. Maybe it was the beautiful scenery. Maybe it was the non-stop togetherness or maybe it was just the fun they were having . Whatever it was…I’m so very glad we did it and can’t wait to do it all over again!
