Let’s do this! It’s time to WAFFELIZE YOUR WEDNESDAY!
This week’s theme – Animals!
If your kids are anything like mine – turning food into animals or shapes takes it to a whole new level. We turn sandwiches into something on a daily basis for lunch boxes, pancakes into letters and numbers and now waffles into…..
Butterflies! YEP. There are a ton of different shapes you could use, but today we used a butterfly to make this yummy treat.
This week I used Eggo’s Thick & Fluffy waffles in Cinnamon Brown Sugar. Can we all say YUM?! This waffle is good all alone but when you slather it with a powdered sugar ย glaze – it’s AMAZING. These waffles are pretty much like a big ol’ cinnamon roll and I’m sure your kids will love them!
To make them – toast Eggo’s Thick & Fluffy Cinnamon Brown Sugar Waffles in the toaster. While toasting, mix up 1 cup of powdered sugar with 2-3 tablespoons of milk until smooth. When done, cut into a butterfly shape with a cookie cutter or sandwich shape cutter (also good for lunch box sandwiches!). Dip the front of the waffle into the glaze and top with sprinkles for extra fun. That’s it! A yummy treat that the kids (and mom!) will love!
