My goal in life is to get rid of ALL of the clutter in my home and to be completely organized. OKย – so maybe it’s not my whole goal for my life, but it sure is a nice thought. : ) ย One little step at a time and I start to see the light at the end of the tunnel and in this case – hallway.
I mentioned in a past post that to simplify my life a little, I moved from having a laundry basket in everyone’s bedrooms to just having 3 baskets in a central location for everyone to use – except for Sydney. Once she’s a little older, I won’t do her laundryย separateย ย But, for now, I just hate the thought of mixing in her sweet little onesies, jammies and outfits with our big ol’ dirty clothes. Plus- I use a different detergent on them.
So, I picked up these 3 hampers at Lowes from Poet. I had searched around for a while and these were affordable at only $12.00 on sale, sturdy and had the cool mesh bag that was stylish with the material around the top that you could just take out when full and not have to carry the whole bin down the stairs to the laundry room.
But, of course I wanted to personalized them a bit, so I personalized these awesome labels from Better Home and Gardens, printed them out on card stock andย laminatedย them. OH Happy Day! YES – these types of things REALLY get me excited!
I made one for lights, one for darks and one for socks, undies and pajamas.
Then I had to figure out how to attach them and got the idea from a friend to useย Velcroย ย BRILLIANT! I took precut Velcro Sticky Back square and stuck thoseย beautifulย labels right on the hamper.
Look….LOVE. IT!
Now, the kids have no excuse about where their clothes are supposed to go. It says it right on the front.
Now, I need to get the hall painted and add some artwork to really make it work!
Now, tell me about your favorite organization project. Have you done one recently that has you oooooing and ahhhhing?? Have you found one on Pinterest that you can’t wait to get your hands on? Share your links with me! I’d love to see them.
