This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Fender for IZEA. All opinions are 100% mine.

From an early age, I can remember my mom playing John Denver and Neil Diamond in the house on the 8 track player while listening to my dad as a DJ at a local radio station. I grew up in a family that loved music and I loved every minute of it! Music was just a normal, everyday part of our lives.

I even started going to concerts at a very young age and have great memories from that time. The one thing I regret about music is that I never learned to play an instrument. I would have loved to play the guitar or piano, but neither of my parents played – so I’m sure that’s why I didn’t pursue it.

Fast forward to now and I’m a mom of three that love music, as well! I even married a musicianย that has much more musical talent than I do – which he has passed down to our kids. I am just positive they will learn to play an instrument as soon as they’re ready. Our daughter,ย Ella, has already started to learn to play the guitar a little from her dad and is loving it!

We were just introduced to a new guided online learning program by Fender, called Fender Play, that teaches new guitar players to get playing in minutes! With hundreds of instructional videos and hands-on exercises, Fender Play walks new players down a learning path based on their musical preferences.

After just a few short lessons, a player will be able to learn something new, whether itโ€™s a skill, a recognizable riff or a full song. WOW! I would have loved this as a kid! And I’m super excited to get Ella started on it now! I just may learn along with her! Why not?!

Fender Play is the best way to learn guitar because itโ€™s created by curriculum experts and the leading guitar brand, that incorporates fun into learning by breaking things down easily. You can even customize the curriculum based on your musical preference. What better way to learn than by learning to play your favorite songs?!

Fender Play also incorporates top-quality 4K multi-camera video production to deliver a clear and unified curriculum, with an aesthetic that aligns to the overall Fender brand. Among the production elements incorporated for optimum teaching are a split-screen and an over-the-shoulder angle that provides a unique and valuable perspective for the new player and that makes it super easy for someone to learn the right way.

Learning to play guitar is really a great thing for kids! They do well socially โ€“ theyโ€™re more confident, develop coordination and math skills, concentration and more – all of which are a really great thing at this age, so I’m all on board with helping them in any way I can.

Fender Play is a great way to get started. I’ll follow up in a few weeks to let you know how it’s going – for Ella AND for me! haha! I can’t wait to share! In the meantime, check outย Fender Playย for yourself! I bet you’ll want to get started right away!
