Whew…it’s been a busy week! Baking, birthday parties, snow storms…I’m worn out and I haven’t even left the house since Monday! haha!

If you follow me on Facebook (You do, right?! If not, you’re missing out!)  you know that my baby girl turned 5  this past week! Yep…FIVE YEARS OLD! That is totally and completely insane to me. Just yesterday she was a little, sweet, chubby, (screaming!) newborn that needed mom’s love and attention all day long. Well, she still needs mom’s love and attention all day long…but is just a little bigger now.

She is the most bouncing, jumping, running, playing 5 year old I know…so I knew that a Bounce House Party would be awesome for her and that’s just what we did! 15 kids and their parents joined us for Ella’s party last week and man, oh man…did they have fun!

Ella is a huge, HUGE dog lover. She loves dogs more than anything else and really loves her own dog, Daisy. So, I decided to make, YES make, her a giant dog cupcake to look like her dog to go along with her dog theme party.

Not bad, huh?! I have never done anything like this before. I was shocked by how much it actually looks like Daisy!

Dog Cake

I love to bake and love to be creative, so this was right up my alley! Now, I’m not going to lie. I had some doubts this wouldn’t resemble a pig. There were many times, leading up to the party, that I thought about just scrapping the whole idea and playing it safe by making just a big plain decorated cupcake. But, I didn’t. I enlisted my husbands help to make sure I was on track as I decorated and did it!

Looks at these adorable cupcakes I made to go with it. Those are Scooby Bone Graham Crackers on top. Cute, huh?!

OH and I also made these fun Cake Pops for Ella to take to school on her Birthday. Just call me Bakerella! They were a hit!

I would say that Ella was very happy with all the baked treats her mommy made for her on her birthday. It was fun and I’m ready for my next Cupcake Challenge!

Kasey! You are Super Mom! Those cake pops are the best idea ever! I’m going to have to get the decorating book (because I am the must uncreative person alive). =)

    1. Haha! I don’t know about Super Mom, but I sure try to make Birthdays special. It is a special day, for sure!

You should try to make the Cake Pops…takes a little time, but I’m sure you can do it! You make up for being uncreative with your musical talent, tho. You rock!!

    1. HI Carrie!

Oh, I remember taking Ella to that outing well! It was the FIRST TIME I had ever taken her anywhere by myself and I was a nervous wreck!! I was so afraid she’d start screaming and embarrass me! LOL!
