One of the best things about summer is grilling out! Our family loves to get outside and enjoy the backyard as much as possible, so when we’re able to grill out a meal while the kids play, it’s a good thing! From burgers to brats, we love everything on the grill!

Recently we heard about the NEW Smithfieldยฎโ€™s Yuenglingยฎ Lager Beer Brats and I must say…WOW! They are so good!

We’re normally big brat fans, but these new Smithfield Yuengling Lager Beer Brats are delicious and something else!

Today I had my husband grill our Smithfield’s Yuengling infused brats ย while I sautรฉed peppers and onions on the burner by the grill. They turned out great! The sweetness of the peppers paired with the flavorful brats was just perfect!

Grilling is easy to do if you follow a few simple tips! Here are my top 6 Grilling Tips that are sure to give you great results!

Top Grilling Tips To Guarantee Great Results

PREHEAT – Preheat your grill 15 to 25 minutes before you start cooking to make sure it reaches the right temperature (and to kill any bacteria). Your grill should be 400-450ยฐF for high, 350-400ยฐF for medium-high, 300-350ยฐF for medium and 250-300ยฐF for low heat.

CLEAN – After preheating the grill, use a long-handled wire grill brush on your grill rack to clean off charred debris from prior meals. Scrape again immediately after use.

OIL – Even on a clean grill, lean foods may stick when placed directly on the rack. Reduce sticking by oiling your hot grill rack with a vegetable oil-soaked paper towel that you hold with tongs.

TEST – The best way to know if meat is fully cooked is to check its internal temperature with an instant-read thermometer.

FLAMES – To reduce flare-ups on your grill, select lean cuts of meat, trim excess fat and remove poultry skin. And, keep a squirt bottle of water near the grill to quickly douse any unexpected flare-ups.

REST – Let finished meats rest on a clean platter, tented with foil, for about 10 minutes before serving so juices can redistribute evenly.

If you’re not familiar with Yuengling, it is Americaโ€™s oldest brewery (located in Pottsville, PA) and Smithfield (located in Smithfield, VA) is the ham capital of the world.

Both come from towns with a slower, more thoughtful pace โ€“ grounded in tradition with a pride for their heritage.

With that heritage comes an appreciation for quality, flavor, and family; why Smithfield & Yuengling make the perfect pair. It’s worth a try this summer!
