The Holidays are meant to be “The Most Wonderful Time of the Year” . But, all too often, we get caught up in the hustle and bustle of the season and find ourselves stressed and overwhelmed to “keep up” with those around us. We end up getting burned out and are unable to experience the joy of the season.

To help combat that stress and to remember the true joy of the season, Mercy is sending out the message that just by being still and taking some time by listing what we’re thankful for, we can change that course of stress and being overwhelmed. The very act of verbalizing, listing and journaling what you’re thankful for can be very magical in reducing the pressure that becomes upon us and that’s why Mercy has created “Our Blessings Count” – a website that is designed to share your blessings with others. The site invites all who visit to share blessings in words, pictures or video.

Every blessing submitted to OurBlessingsCount.com will appear as an individual snowflake on the site – and blessings will also “pile up” as snow on the bottom of the screen. Together, we can create a blizzard of blessings!

I have already submitted my blessings to the site and I can tell you that I was the one blessed by reading many, many blessings submitted by other people who were thankful for their health, a husband home from Afghanistan, a workplace that starts the day off by praying, a new baby…the list goes on and on. I found myself spending a lot of time on the site reading and tearing up by others sharing their hearts with the world to see.

It got me thinking about what I could do to bless others and how others bless me….

* Sending a note to someone to just ask how they’re doing after a trying time.
*  Making Christmas cookies with my kids and delivering them to an elderly neighbor who doesn’t have family around.
*  Packing up our extra toys and donating to the local Mission
*  Offering to watch a friend’s children so that they can get some much-needed time alone with their spouse.

The list can go on and on… Tis the season to bless others and to be blessed yourself. Vist Mercy’s site and share your blessing. I promise that YOU will be the one blessed by doing so.

Mercy recognizes the stress we put on ourselves and our families over the holidays. They want to remind us that ‘Our greatest blessing is to see others blessed.’ One way we can do this is to pause, list our blessings, and share them with others. Let’s count our blessings together at www.ourblessingscount.com.

This is a sponsored conversation written by me on behalf of Mercy. The opinions and text are all mine.
