One of the memories I have from growing up and celebrating the 4th of July is hanging out with my family, having great food and rootbeer floats! I just loved these special treats that only came around once or twice a year in the summer. It was just something about enjoying the cold ice cream, mixed with the frothy soda that made it so good! Now, I’m bringing back this classic with a new spin on it! Dr. Pepper Cherry Floats!
Now, I’m sharing this classic drink with my kids so that they can have the same memories when they are older of enjoying that deliciously, sweet drink on a special occasion during the summer.
Making this Dr. Pepper Cherry Float couldn’t be easier. Grab a glass, mug or even a mason jar – like I didย –ย add several scoops of vanilla ice cream, pour in Dr. Pepper Cherry soda, add a straw and drink!
That’s it! You could really even put the kids in charge of making it for you while you sit back and snap the photos!
Dr. Pepper is offering some limited edition flavors right now that you can find at Safeway and Albertsons ย – Dr. Pepper Cherry and Dr. Pepper Vanilla Float. Either one will be perfect for this throwback summertime drink! Make sure to share one with someone special this weekend!
