Hi there! This is Stefanie from Simple Acres. What is your language of love and appreciation? Gift giving is definitely one of mine. This time of year is often when we reflect and share appreciation for the teachers that work hard to educate and grow our children. This DIY Floral Teacher Appreciation Gift is simple and creative. This gift will be one your child’s teacher with cherish.
I have been an artist as long as I can remember but watercolor painting has been a new venture for me. I love it so much, I just had to find a way to incorporate it into this lovely DIY project just for you. What is fun and forgiving about this project is if you don’t like the end result you can simply wash it off and start over. For more watercolor tutorials click here. Possibly you would like to give a watercolor gift with your favorite quote or decorate for the season you are in, no matter what you are interested in watercolor painting can be used!
DIY Floral Teacher Appreciation Materials:
- plain clay pot
- white paint (I used left over semi-matte paint from my kitchen.)
- paint brushes
- watercolor paint
- watercolor paper
- black ink pen
- small plant of choice
- Paint pot with white paint and allow to dry.
- Paint pot with watercolor paint as desired. See video. Allow to dry.
- Create a gratitude statement on watercolor paper and decorate as desired.
What I love about this DIY Floral Teacher Appreciation Gift is that it is so easy and quick to make. To be honest people will think you put much more effort into it than you actually did. Shhh…our little secret! My kids painted their own floral pots, which they really enjoyed and offered them a sense of ownership and accomplishment.
