Cookouts, swimming, playdates and camp – Summer is finally here!! Andrew graduated from Preschool and Ella – from 1st grade. Crazy! It goes faster each year!
I am so happy to not be bound by a schedule each day, playing outside later each day and sleeping in for the kids. I love it! To help celebrate the end of school, we always have a Welcome to Summer party on the last day of school! It’s nothing huge, but the kids look forward to it each year.
I usually get a fun Summery table cloth, bright colored plates and serve fun stuff like veggies and dip, fruit, quesadillas and of course, cupcakes for dessert!
I even allow them to have Kool Aid for a drink – a treat around here! This year I pulled out my cake plates and used bubbles and cupcakes as the center piece. So much fun!
Just by grabbing a few things at Target, I created a fun and exciting party with not much effort at all!
Let the Summer Fun begin!
Such a cute idea! Hannah wants to plan one for us now! : )
You should do it, Cindy! haha!! It’s a fun tradition, too!
