The life of a mom with kids in school and sports is on the go! From the time we wake up in the morning until I lay down at night, it’s go, go, go! Honestly, it is kinda crazy but I LOVE IT! This whole new stage of parenting is different from the last stage of parenting newborn and toddlers for years – plus having an in home daycare that required me to care for LOTS of newborns and toddlers over the years! While that was awesome, hard and amazing while it was happening this new stage with school-age kids is awesome, hard and amazing, too!

While we’re on the go, I struggle with meals and snacks. We have to eat but I don’t like to always grab to-go food from the concession stands or snacks from the convenience store. I know that getting our energy and fuel from food is KEY to a healthy happy family! AND we need our fuel to get through these crazy days! So, instead of reaching for a candy bar when I’m picking up from school and dropping off for ball practice, I pack my own snacks for me and the kids. It’s the best way to make sure we are ready to go!
