Our lives are filled with special moments that will last a lifetime. I know that most of my fondest and most cherished memories are from spending time with my mom and being a mother myself. While my mom is no longer here on this earth, I still remember the special times and the bond we had together .
One of the best memories I have of my mom is when I was about 4 years old and I was having a hard time with her dropping me off and leaving me at daycare each day while she worked. So, to help me get through the transition a little easier, she bought us each matching necklaces. I remember it so clearly. Each had a four leaf clover in a clear glass surrounded by gold on a pendant. I thought it was the most beautiful thing I’d ever seen. My mom put one necklace around my neck and one around her’s and then told me that whenever I was sad or needed her, to just rub the necklace and she’d feel it in her heart and I’d be able to feel her in mine. I remember that day being upset but knew that my mom was sending me love all day long through our special necklaces. She probably never thought that necklace would create such a lasting memory in my mind, but it’s one that I’ll never forget.
