There were signs of rebirth and hope everywhere you looked today.


A robin on the hunt for his breakfast.

Trees blooming and flowers emerging.

And lazy, outside naps under bushes.

I am completely and totally in love with Spring Days like today. The sunshine lifts my spirits and I felt the need to bake. YES – bake. I love to pour my heart into food to be shared with others. It definitely is a labor of love for me. I made this amazingly, yummy looking, Easter Egg Cake from Picky Palate that I saw featured on The Pioneer Woman today. AND, I was loving baking so much…that I even made my Grandmother’s Coconut Cake – I’ll be sharing photos of both tomorrow – so, make sure you come back by!

We have some great stuff planned for the weekend – Easter Egg Hunts, lunch with friends, and a date night! Gotta love the sun staying out longer so that we can enjoy these days a little more.

    I definately loved your photos and comment. It passes the feelings.
    I love the spring too. My favorite season.
    You need all seasons around, just to be a landmark of comparison to the spring.
    If it’s too cold, then a warm spring day is more cherishable.
    ….and of course, spring replenishes your batteries. This energy goes to creation. In your case, food.
    Pity you can’t send a sample of your bakery by email…….. 😉
