Outdoor sports season is here! Time for baseball, t-ball, softball, soccer, flag football, track and more! It’s also a great time to update your “mom arsenal” for going to all these outdoor sporting events and practices. I have my “mom bag” that I always take that is full of snacks for the kids, tissues, handy wipes for messes and I bring drinks.
I also pack my camera, some toys for my youngest, and sunscreen. Another thing I’m going to pack this year to make it a little easier on me and some of the other moms is a big cooler of water! How often are you outside, it’s hot and your water bottles are not cold and refreshing? I know that it happens to us all the time! But I always hate the taste of “plastic” water. You know, the taste that some big jugs leach who knows what into your drinking water? Well, I found a solution to better tasting water! BRITA!
Thank you to Brita Universal Jug Cooler Filtration System for partnering with All Things Mamma on this post!
That’s right! Brita NOW offers a really awesome filter that you can put on your BIG coolers with an adapter that hooks right in the jug – easily! I love our Brita Pitcher for our fridge, so I had a feeling the Brita Jug Filter would be a winner, too!
What’s awesome is that Brita makes tap water taste better and you’re able to filter larger quantities of water easily!! The Brita Jug Filter system and filters are now available at HomeDepot.com and fits right into your favorite jug coolers from Coleman, Igloo and Rubbermaid, effectively filtering out chlorine taste and odor from typical tap water. No plastic taste here!
I took my new cooler with my filtered water (filled with a lot of ice, too!) to our baseball practice this past weekend. And boy, am I glad I took it with me! It was the first really hot 80 degree and sunny day we’ve had all year and the kids were hot!
You know, kids don’t really pay attention to quality, so it’s up to us moms to really do it for them! The Brita Jug Filter really improves the taste! I was really impressed with just how good the water tasted. And the kids liked it, too!
Plus, I love that you’re saving money and eliminating waste by not buying a ton of individual bottles! Score!
My husband, the coach, was even impressed! Pair some good tasting ice water with some big juicy orange slices and you’ve got a snack all the kids will love!
OH and another good thing about the filters is that you only need to replace them every two months. That’s a lot of uses! And it saves you money!
