- 1 (20-ounce) can crushed pineapple, drained
- 1 (21-ounce) can cherry pie filling
- 1 (14-ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
- 3 cups mini marshmallows
- 1 (8-ounce) tub Cool Whip
- 1 ½ cups pistachios
Garnish Suggestions
- Maraschino cherries
- Coconut, shredded and toasted
In a large mixing bowl combine all ingredients and stir together until well mixed.
Transfer to a large serving bowl.
Sprinkle the top with desired garnishes, then transfer to the refrigerator and allow to chill for at least 40 minutes before serving.
Drain the pineapple well: Excess liquid can make the salad too runny, so don’t skip this step.
Use Cool Whip, not whipped cream: Cool Whip is stabilized and holds up better in the fridge.
Let it chill: Giving the salad time to rest helps the flavors blend and the texture set properly.
