Cream Cheese Bars

These Cream Cheese Bars are made with yellow cake mix for a quick and easy dessert. With a crisp crust and soft center, they're perfectly sweet and deliciously decadent!

Ingredients

  • 1 box yellow cake mix
  • ½ cup unsalted butter softened
  • 2 eggs
  • 8 ounces cream cheese softened
  • 4 cups powdered sugar
  • 2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350ºF and grease a 9x13 baking dish. 
  • In a large bowl, stir the cake mix, butter and eggs. The mix will be thick but still smooth.

  • Press the cake mix into the greased pan, pushing it evenly across the bottom of the dish. Set aside. 
  • In a separate bowl, beat the cream cheese, powdered sugar and vanilla together until smooth. Be sure to scrape down the sides of the bowl to incorporate all the cream cheese bits. 
    8 ounces cream cheese, 4 cups powdered sugar, 2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Spread the cream cheese mix over the top of the cake in the pan. Make sure it is nice and even. 
  • Bake the cream cheese bars for 35 minutes. The top will be shiny and golden brown.
  • Let the bars cool down with extra powdered sugar dusted on top. Slice and enjoy!
