This Apple Slab Pie recipe is a fun twist on classic apple pie. Made with a rich, buttery crust, a baked apple filling, and a sweet cream topping, it’s baked on a single sheet and sliced into squares.

One batch makes enough to feed a crowd, and is perfect for holiday parties, family gatherings, picnics, and potlucks!

4 cups flour 1 1/2 teaspoons salt 1 1/2 cups cold butter, grated 3/4 cup cold water

PIE CRUST INGREDIENTS

8 apples, peeled and sliced 2 Tablespoons lemon juice 2/3 cup brown sugar 3 Tablsepoons cornstarch 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg 1/4 teaspoon salt

FILLING INGREDIENTS

2 Tablespoons heavy cream 2 Tablespoons sugar

TOPPING INGREDIENTS

Mix the flour, salt, and cold butter with your hands until it resembles sand-like crumbles. Add the cold water and mix in. Divide in two, one a little larger than the other.

Add all of the ingredients for the pie filling to a large bowl, and toss together until well combined.

Prepare the pie crust then pour the pie filling into the prepared dish. Cover the filling with the second pie crust, and seal the edges.

Brush the top of the crust with heavy cream, and sprinkle with sugar. Bake the pie for 40 minutes. Let cool for ~25 minutes, slice, and serve while warm!
