  • ¾ cup ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon mustard

Instructions

3 eggs, 48 Ritz crackers, 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese, ½ cup whole milk, ½ teaspoon garlic powder, ½ teaspoon ground black pepper, 1 teaspoon salt
  • Add the ground beef and chopped onions and stir until the mix is evenly blended. Try not to overmix.
2 pounds ground beef, ½ cup white onion
  • Scoop the ground beef mix into the prepared pan and press it into the pan evenly.
  • Bake the meatloaf in the preheated oven for 30 minutes.
  • While the meatloaf is baking, whisk together the ketchup, brown sugar, and mustard in a medium sized bowl.
¾ cup ketchup, 1 tablespoon brown sugar, 1 teaspoon mustard
  • After thirty minutes in the oven, remove the meatloaf and spread the ketchup topping over the top of the meat in the pan.
  • Return the meatloaf to the oven to bake for another 30 minutes. The center of the meatloaf should read 160ºF on a cooking thermometer and it will be pulling away from the edges of the pan. The topping will also be nicely browned.
  • Let the meatloaf cool for about 15 minutes then slice and enjoy!

Notes

If you do not have a loaf pan, you can bake this meatloaf on a parchment-lined baking sheet tray. Simply form the meat mix into a loaf shape and place it on the pan. Bake the same way as written in the directions.
