Preheat oven to 375°F. Grease a 9x13 inch baking pan with cooking spray.
In a medium mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.

In a large mixing bowl, cream the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar together until light and fluffy.

Add the eggs and vanilla extract to the bowl, and beat until well combined.

Gradually mix in the dry ingredients until just combined.
Fold in the chocolate chips using a rubber spatula.

Spread the cookie dough evenly into the prepared baking pan.
Bake for 25-30 minutes or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Let the cookie bars cool in the pan for at least 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
