Pierogi Casserole

This Cheesy Pierogi Casserole Recipe combines frozen pierogis, creamy sauce, lots of cheese, and plenty of bacon for a crowd-pleasing dish!

2 tablespoons olive oil 1/2 onion 2 minced garlic cloves 1 (10.5 ounce) can cream of mushroom soup 1/2 cup sour cream 1/4 cup milk 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese 1/2 cup bacon 1 (16-ounce) package frozen pierogis 3 tablespoons fresh chives Nonstick cooking spray

INGREDIENTS

Preheat your oven to 375ºF. Coat a 9 x 9 casserole dish with nonstick cooking spray.

In a large skillet set over medium-high heat, cook the onion and garlic in olive oil until the onion is translucent, about 7 to 8 minutes.

Remove the skillet from the heat, then stir in the cream of mushroom soup, sour cream, milk, cheddar cheese, and bacon.

Spread half of the sauce on the bottom of the prepared baking dish.

Arrange the pierogis over the top,  spread the remaining sauce mixture over the top, add chives.

Bake for 30-40 mins, or until the top is golden brown and the sauce is bubbling around the edges.

Cool for 4 to 5 minutes before serving. Enjoy!
