Philly Cheesesteak Sloppy Joes

This Philly cheesesteak sloppy joes recipe is the ultimate sandwich. It is packed with beef, peppers, cheese and a juicy sauce that makes it totally irresistible.

Ground beef Yellow onion Green pepper Sliced mushrooms Ketchup Worcestershire sauce Salt Pepper Cornstarch Beef broth Mozzarella Hamburger buns

Cook the ground beef then strain the grease once all the meat is browned. Add the chopped onions, peppers and mushrooms and cook everything together for about 5 minutes.

Whisk the cornstarch and beef broth together in a separate bowl then pour the mix into the skillet. Add the ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Let the liquid simmer for ~5 minutes.

Remove from the heat and sprinkle the cheese across the top of the whole pan. Let the cheese melt over the beef.

Use a spatula to scoop the meat and cheese onto the hamburger buns and then enjoy!

The ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, and ground beef make the sandwich have a sloppy joes feel but the peppers, onions, and cheese make it more like a Philly cheesesteak.
