Double Chocolate Banana Bread

This Double Chocolate Banana Bread is moist and decadent, and best of all, it’s super easy to make!

Few things are as delicious as freshly-baked banana bread, but this recipe takes things to the next level by adding chocolate—and lots of it.

All purpose flour Bananas Brown sugar Unsalted butter Eggs Cocoa powder Vanilla extract Baking powder Baking soda Salt Semisweet or milk chocolate chips


Use a fork to mash the bananas until it’s mostly smooth. 


Add sugar, melted butter, and eggs one at a time and beat until combined. Whisk together the dry ingredients, then beat the dry mixture into the wet mixture. Fold in the chocolate chips.


Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan. Use a knife to make a small cut lengthwise about ½-inch deep in the center, then scatter chocolate chips over the top. 


Bake for 90 to 100 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out mostly clean.
