INGREDIENTS

Cut the bread into 1 to 1 ½ inch cubes. Place the cubed bread in an even layer in the bottom of a greased slow cooker.

In a large bowl, whisk the eggs and brown sugar, then whisk in the milk, heavy cream, cinnamon, salt, and vanilla.

Pour custard over the bread, ensuring that it’s all submerged. Cut the butter into small pieces and scatter over the surface of the bread mixture.

Cook for 2 ½ to 3 hours on medium covered. Plate and serve with berries, a drizzle of maple syrup, and a dusting of powdered sugar.
