In a large mixing bowl, combine the cake mix, gelatin, sugar, and flour. Add the water, oil, and eggs.


In a second bowl, mash the bananas and stir in the egg, butter, and vanilla extract.


Pour the dry ingredients into the bowl with the wet ingredients; stir until just moistened, being careful not to over-mix.


Divide the batter into the muffin cups, bake for 18-22 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of a muffin comes out clean.
