Over Easy Eggs
It doesn't get more classic than over easy eggs for breakfast. The traditional dish is a staple for a reason, with its firm egg white and creamy, runny yolk. Here's how to get a perfect over easy egg every single time.
Course: Breakfast
Cuisine: American
Keyword: eggs, over easy eggs
Servings: 1
- Eggs
- 1 tbsp Butter or oil
- Salt and pepper
Heat a large non-stick skillet with butter or oil over medium heat. Move the pan around, so the butter or oil completely covers the surface.
Crack the eggs in a separate bowl and then add them to the pan. Cracking them in a smaller bowl will help them stay intact on the pan. Season with salt and pepper if using seasoning.
Let them cook in the pan until the whites are almost set. The edges should no longer be translucent and almost firm in texture, about 2-3 minutes. When they look ready, carefully use a wide spatula to flip the eggs. Continue to let them cook for about 30 seconds.
