Air Fryer Smashed Brussels Sprouts

These air fryer smashed Brussels sprouts are crispy, cheesy, and about to become your new favorite side dish!

Ingredients

  • 1 12 oz bag of Brussels Sprouts
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp balsamic vinegar
  • 3 tbsp grated parmesan
  • salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  • To smash the Brussels Sprout, you need to microwave them. In a large microwave-safe dish, place the uncooked Brussels sprouts add ¼ cup of water, and cook for 4 minutes at high temperature.
  • Remove for the microwave and let them cool for 5 to 10 minutes
  • Place the Brussel Sprout on a cutting board, and with the back of a small bowl, smash the Brussels; you can also use the back of a large spoon.
  • Place the smashed Brussels sprouts in a large bowl, add olive oil, balsamic vinegar, grated parmesan, salt, and pepper. Mix gently until the Brussels sprouts are well coated.
  • Place in the air fryer basket in a single layer.
  • Cook for 6 minutes at 400 ˚F, flip them halfway.
  • Serve immediately.

Notes

  • You can keep the Brussels sprout in an airtight container in a fridge for up to 4 days. Do not freeze.
  • You can serve these as an appetizer or side dish.
  • If you like a little spice, you can add some chili flakes to give it a kick!
