The holidays are around the corner and this November, Big Heart Pet Brands® invites you and pet lovers everywhere to celebrate the holiday season with your furry family members. Don’t forget that your pets love treats, too. Why not give them a gift made especially for them to show them just how much you love them?!
So, when Big Heart Brands asked me to create a fun DIY Craft with their treats I was excited to take on the challenge! I knew I wanted to give back to our pups and others so I created fun treat jars to be given out to my Thanksgiving guests to take home to treat their pets that they’re thankful for! They’re super cute and super easy!
First gather your favorite Big Heart Brand dog treats for #TreatThePup – Milk Bones, Milo’s Kitchen or Pup-Peroni are all good choices and what I decided to use! And for this craft, I made treat jars embellished with turkeys for fun. I used pint jars I picked up at the store for $5 for 4. Can’t beat that price! I then filled each one with treats. I separated them by kinds of treats so that my guests could chose what their pet would like best.
I then used a turkey decoration kit I found at the store in the craft section and put together my pompom turkeys. Easy. This is a fun step to get your kids involved, too! Anyone can put peel off sticky labels and piece these little guys together! Then, I used chalk board labels and my chalk marker pen to create fun tags that said “Happy Pawsgiving!” So cute! I added them to the top of the jars with some string, stuck on the turkey and done!
See. Super cute and your guests will love that you were thoughtful enough to Treat THEIR Pups to some yummy treats by Big Heart Pet Brands!
