As the weather cools down that can only mean one thing – FOOTBALL! I love to make lots of fun food that you can easily eat while watching football on TV or even while playing a little football in the backyard! Our latest obsession – Meatball Sliders! They’re like Cheeseburger Sliders but with meatballs instead!

That’s right, it’s football season and our house is all about it! We love the cool, crisp weather where we can wear big chunky sweaters, drink hot cider and enjoy some delicious food!

OH YEAH! These delicious Meatball Sliders are the perfect game day food!  Made with Carando Abruzzese Italian Style Meatballs, they’re quick, easy and FULL of flavor! So good!

And you know what else is awesome about these Meatball Sliders? They can even be warmed up the next day for an easy dinner! 2 for 1 meals? That’s what I’m talking about!

Here’s how you make these amazing Meatball Sliders!

First – you need to pick up Carando Meatballs in the fresh meat deli section at your local Giant Eagle store. These meatballs are the perfect weeknight meal-solution for the whole family because they are quick and easy to prepare and taste delicious. They are made from premium pork and contain no fillers or MSG.

Starting with Carando Meatballs that are ready to be cooked is the easiest way to make these little sandwiches.

Brown the meatballs on each side for about 1-2 minutes in a skillet with about one tablespoon of butter.

Next, add one cup of your favorite jarred pasta sauce to the skillet and simmer the meatballs in the sauce for 10 minutes.

Then, take dinner rolls and cut them in half and place in a 9×13 baking dish.

Add one meatball to each roll and top with a little sauce and a slice of mozzarella cheese.

Put the tops back on the rolls and brush with a mixture of butter and parmesan cheese to the tops of the rolls.

Bake in a 350-degree oven for 10-15 minutes until lightly brown.

  • Carando Abruzzese Meatballs
